Abstract

The method comprises following steps: (1) a plurality of portions of SBS modified asphalt with different modifier doping contents are prepared; (2) each portion of the SBS modified asphalt is added into 5ml of tetrahydrofuran for dissolving so as to prepare a plurality of portions of tetrahydrofuran-modified asphalt solution with different modifier doping contents, wherein each portion is 5ml; (3) modified peak areas and asphalt peak areas are recorded by a ViscotekTDAmax gel permeation chromatograph, and specific values of the modified peak areas to the asphalt peak areas are calculated; (4) an exponential regression equation is built, wherein the specific values of peak areas are represents by x-coordinate, the modifier doping contents are represented by y-coordinate; and (5) a SBS modifier doping content of asphalt that is to be modified is determined, wherein the asphalt that is to be modified is detected by gel permeation chromatography, a specific value of modifier peak area to asphalt peak area is calculated, and the specific value is introduced into the exponential regression equation so as to obtain the SBS modifier doping content of the modified asphalt that is to be detected.
