Abstract

According to the traditional Chinese medicine, the chronic viral hepatitis is caused by stagnation of liver qi and dampness heat of liver and gallbladder, thus the following traditional Chinese medicines with functions of soothing the liver and regulating qi, clearing heat and expelling dampness and invigorating the spleen and tonifying qi are ground into fine powder: akebia trifoliata koidz, abrus cantoniensis hance, fingered citron, swertia yunnanensis, gentiana scabra bge, milkweed, herba desmodii styracifolii, herba lycopi, herba duchesnea indica, radix paeoniae rubra, sagina subulata, coix seed and rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae; and the fine powder is prepared into a paste external application preparation by use of honey in a drug manufacturing room of the hospital, and the external application preparation is applied to the acupuncture points of liver and gallbladder channels of a patient. According to clinical tests, the total effective rate reaches 95.2% which is obviously higher than that of a control group; and moreover, a little side effect is caused, the treatment method is simple, and the external application preparation deserves clinical popularization and application.
