Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for installing patches. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining a to-be-installed patch package in accordance with a presetting rule; building a folder according to the relative information of the to-be-installed patch package; invoking an uncompressing program in the system to uncompress the to-be-installed patch package into the folder; and invoking a program package manager program in the system to carry out the installation operation on the folder, thereby realizing installation of the patches. With the adoption of the method and the device, the installation speed of the patches can be improved.
