The invention provides a communication information display method and a mobile terminal. The method includes: a first mobile terminal determines the number types of a second mobile terminal requesting communication with the same, wherein the number types include a long mobile terminal number and a short virtual network number; the first mobile terminal matches the number of the second mobile terminal with contact list information of the first mobile terminal by adopting a mode corresponding to the number type; and the first mobile terminal displays communication information of the second mobile terminal according to a match result. By the communication information display method and the mobile terminal, the problem that terminal user information of the short virtual network number cannot be displayed during request communication in the related technology is solved, and accordingly flexibility of the mobile terminal in communication information display is improved, and user experience is improved beneficially.
