The repair system comprises an examining module for checking a value of a boot counting mark of a BIOS (Basic Input Output System) during a power on self test of a computer; a reading module for reading the master boot record of the hard disc from a corresponding sector of the computer hard disc when the computer is initially booted according to the value of the boot counting mark; a storage module for storing the master boot record of the readable hard disc to a substrate management controller; and an invoking module for invoking the master boot record of the hard disc stored in the substrate management controller when the value of an end mark of the master boot record of the hard disc is not AA55, and recovering the invoked master boot record of the hard disc to the corresponding sector of the hard disc. The invention further provides a repair method for the master boot record of the hard disc. The master boot record of the hard disc can be effectively repaired by the repair system.
