Embodiment 1

[0024] Embodiment 1: with sweet potato wild species ( I. crassi caulis ) for the grafting rootstock significantly improved the survival rate of grafting and eliminated the phenomenon of grafting incompatibility.

[0025] (1) In this laboratory, Yongcai (conventional rootstock for sweet potato grafting), Yongcai + Sushu No. 11 (approval number Sujian sweet potato 200602, national product appraisal sweet potato 2007005) and sweet potato diploid wild species I. crassi caulis ( Sweet potato wild resource materials, quoted from the United States in 1982, Xue Qihan, Zhang Bitai. Sweet potato ( Ipomoea Genus ) Chromosome numbers of 13 wild species[J] . Jiangsu Agricultural Science, 1984(1): 26-28.) For different rootstocks, the rootstock cuttings survived.

[0026] (2) When the rootstock that survived the cuttage grows to a height of about 80 cm, remove the rootstock with a blade, leaving only about 20 cm of stem above the ground, and then use a blade to cut vertically from the m...

Embodiment 2

[0038] Example 2: Using wild sweet potato species I. crassi caulis as grafting rootstock significantly increased the number of sweet potato flowering.

[0039] In this laboratory, Yongcai, Yongcai+Sushu No. 11 and sweet potato diploid wild species I. crassi caulis Three sweet potato cultivars Sushu No. 9 with different flowering properties (poor flowering properties) based on different rootstocks ( Variety Approval Number: National Approved Potato 2001004 ) , Ningshu 16-2 (medium flowering) (National Sweet Potato Variety Test Material, 2012-2013 National Sweet Potato Variety Test Implementation Plan http: / / www.xushu18.net / docs / 20125811393169869.doc) Hening 26-2 (good flowering) (Jiangsu sweet potato variety identification test material, 2012 Jiangsu sweet potato variety identification test plan http: / / crops.jaas.ac.cn / uploads / file / 20120727.doc ) as the scion, and the effects of different rootstocks on the flowering quantity of the three scion materials were compared. Abstract

The invention provides a method for improving the sweet potato bloosom quantity, belongs to the field of agronomy and phytophysiology, and relates to an application of stocks which contain sweet potato diplont wild species I. crassicaulis and a corresponding grafting method. The method is as follows: a sweet potato cultivator to be induced to flower is grafted on a stock which contains sweet potato diplont wild species I. crassicaulis through a cleft grafting method, and is induced to flower through short-day treatment. The method can obviously improve the sweet potato bloosom quantity, so the sweet potato cross breeding efficiency is increased.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the fields of agronomy, crop breeding and plant physiology, and relates to a method for increasing the flowering quantity of sweet potato, in particular to diploid wild species of sweet potato I. crassi caulis Rootstock applications and corresponding grafting methods. Background technique [0002] Sexual hybridization is one of the important ways to breed new sweet potato varieties. Sweet potato is a short-day plant. In northern China, due to the long light time, most varieties cannot bloom naturally. Even some varieties that are not sensitive to light can bloom naturally, but the flowers are easy to fall off and cannot bear fruit. This habit of sweet potato has become the main obstacle of hybrid breeding. To overcome this obstacle, sweet potato breeders usually use a combination of grafting and short-day treatment to promote sweet potato flowering and fruiting. The purpose of grafting is to prevent a large amount of nutrient...
