The method comprises the following steps of: receiving data packets on L streaming media channels by a client side in a way of aiming at a same streaming media program, wherein the system clocks of N streaming media servers are consistent; when a time variable phi is a nonblank value, recognizing whether timestamps TS on the data packets are more than the sum TC+phi of the current system moment TC of the client side and the time variable phi or not; if the timestamps are not more than the sum, abandoning the data packets; if the timestamps are more than the sum, storing the data packets in a corresponding buffer area playing queue according to a sequence from a small one to a big one of the timestamps TS; and when the TC+phi reaches the timestamp TS on a first data packet in the playing queue, decompressing, decoding and playing the data packets in the playing queue in sequence.
