Embodiment

[0085] The transmission distortion degree and WZ code rate estimation in the present invention will be further described in detail below in combination with a specific implementation manner. For the convenience of explanation and without loss of generality, the following assumptions are made:

[0086] Assume that the current coded frame is the 0th frame of viewpoint 3 (ie figure 1 Middle point of view V 3 at T 0 frame at time), if pixel i of the 0th frame of viewpoint 3 belongs to inter-frame coding, then according to formula (2), its transmission distortion can be known as:

[0087] d c (3,0,i)=(1-p)d c_ref (2,0,j)+p(d ec_r (3,0,i)+d c_ec (v ec , r ec ,k))

[0088] where d ec_r (3, 0, i) can be directly calculated at the encoding end according to the masking algorithm, d c_ref (2,0,j) and d ce_c (v ec , r ec , k) can be obtained through pixel recursion (the key frame of viewpoint 0 is intra-frame coded, and the transmission distortion is 0).

[0089] If pixel i...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for controlling transmission errors of a multiview video based on a distributed coding technology. The method is used for reducing diffusion of the transmission errors among view points and in the view points, and protecting the quality of multiview video decoding reestablished images. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, modeling transmission degree of distortion of each view point key frame of the multiview video; secondly, estimating the Wyner-Ziv (WZ) code rate of the transmission errors required to be corrected according to the degree of distortion of the key frames; and finally, performing error protection on adaptive selection WZ frames through a rate distortion cost. By the method, the diffusion of the transmission errors among the view points can be effectively reduced and the transmission robustness of multiview video streams is enhanced by increasing a small quantity of auxiliary code streams, so that the method can well adapt to video transmission in a lossy network environment.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of video coding and processing, and in particular relates to the research of error control algorithms in the multi-viewpoint video compression coding process. Background technique [0002] Multi-viewpoint video compression has a wide range of applications in 3DTV, free-viewpoint TV and video surveillance. A multi-viewpoint video sequence is a group of video signals obtained by shooting the same scene from different angles with multiple cameras. Compared with single-view video sequences, multi-view video sequences require larger storage space and higher transmission efficiency due to the increase in the number of viewpoints. As an extension of the H.264 / AVC standard, Multiview video coding (MVC) adopts a hierarchical B-frame prediction structure, and uses motion estimation and disparity estimation to eliminate redundancy in the time domain and between viewpoints. [0003] In order to reduce the complexity of coding, ...
