Embodiment Construction

[0069] The present invention proposes a novel way to use such as Figure 4 The relays of the MARC system shown come in as Figure 5 The shown method 1 of the present invention improves the spectral efficiency of the transmission while still enabling simple and efficient decoding at the receiver.

[0070] There are no constraints on the transmission channel; it can experience fast or slow fading, it can be frequency selective, and it can be a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel. In the following description, the two sources, relays, and destinations are assumed to be perfectly synchronized, and the two sources are independent (no dependencies exist between them).

[0071] The following symbols are used in this application.

[0072] Use bold characters to write all vectors.

[0073] A vector v has a value written as [v] k or v k its kth element.

[0074] The multidimensional function F selects a matrix A of dimension m×q as input, where each element a ij (for al...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method (1) of transmitting digital signals to a network having at least four nodes comprising two nodes separated from each other by non-orthogonal links using a spatially distributed network code. transmitters, relays, and receivers. The method comprises the following steps: a step (2) in each transmitter for delivering a codeword in blocks of K data bits, the codeword comprising a first and a second redundant part, thereby being compatible with the first The two parts independently decode the first part; step (3), including transmitting the first part of the codeword in the transmitter at αN,α∈[0,1] transmission intervals; step (4), including the combined iterative detection / decoding in the relay to separate the traffic originating from said transmitter and to determine for each traffic a vector representing the K data bits associated with the codeword; step (5) , including combinatorial encoding of the two vectors in the relay in order to determine redundant data; providing an order in the transmitter such that in (1-α)N,α∈[0,1] subsequent transmitting the second redundant portion on transmission intervals; and providing an order in the relay to transmit (6) the redundant data on (1-α)N,α∈[0,1] subsequent transmission intervals .

Description

technical field [0001] The field of the invention is that of transmitting coded data in Multiple Access Relay Channel (MARC) networks. A MARC network is a telecommunications system with at least four nodes including at least two transmitters, relays, and receivers. More precisely, the invention relates to network coding and involves improving the quality of data transmission and, in particular, improving the performance of error correction decoding in receivers. [0002] The invention applies in particular, but not exclusively, to the transfer of data via mobile networks, eg in real-time applications. Background technique [0003] Networks, especially mobile networks, are looking for significant increases in capacity, reliability, energy consumption, and more. The transmission channels of mobile networks are notoriously difficult and result in relatively poor transmission reliability. In recent years, significant advances have been made in coding and modulation, especiall...
