Abstract

The invention mainly relates to a short-day raising method for containerized seedlings of Chinese red pine, which belongs to techniques of raising forest containerized seedlings. Drought conditions prevail in the northern areas of China in spring, forest survival rate is low in spring, and forestation is more inclined to rainy summer in terms of production, but in summer, seedlings grow fast, young tips are easy to break in lifting, transport and forestation and the forestation effect in summer is badly affected. The short-day raising method determines best short-day treatment of one-year containerized seedlings of Chinese red pine: namely performing short-day treatment of the containerized seedlings of Chinese red pine from July 24 to August 14 before summer forestation; allowing sun exposure for 10h, spreading a sunshade at the outer top of a greenhouse to shade the seedlings from light at 18:00 each day, and removing the sunshade at 8:00 the next day. Seedling quality and summer forestation effect are improved, seedling raising cycle is shortened, turnover rate of the greenhouse for seedling raising is increased, raising cost is lowered, annual seedling raising and forestation are achieved, and the method has bright application outlook.
