The invention discloses a virtual machine snapshot management method and a virtual machine snapshot management system of a cloud computing platform. The method comprises the following steps of: mainly performing the following steps when establishing a virtual machine snapshot for a virtual machine of a cluster node: a preparation step, if the virtual machine is in a running state, pausing the virtual machine by a control node of the cloud computing platform by calling a virtual machine management tool and establishing a memory snapshot of the virtual machine; disk snapshot step, calling a virtualization management tool to establish the disk snapshot of the virtual machine by the control node; and a subsequent processing step, if the virtual machine is in the running state, calling the virtualization management tool to restore running of the virtual machine by using the established memory snapshot.
