Abstract

The invention provides a method for saving energy and reducing noise of a storage device by use of temperature fusion control. The method can be used for achieving speed changing design of a fan of the storage device by using temperature information detection control in the existing storage device so as to save energy and reduce noise of the storage device. The current popular fan control manners of the storage device mainly comprise fixed rotation speed control or fixed tap position and changing speed control. The fan rotation speed control of the storage device has corresponding relationship with heat generation capacity during operation and device temperature, but the control model between the two current popular fan control manners is not perfect; the problems, such as poor representativeness of node temperature and frequent change of rotation speed, can be caused by monitoring temperature of a single point to control the rotation speed; and the fan rotation speed has less change value, which can result in poor energy-saving effect and large noise when the rotation speed of the fan is adjusted to the largest during operation of the system.
