Embodiment 1

[0019] 1. Seed selection: Choose early-maturing, high-quality, disease-resistant and high-yielding Elizabeth melon varieties.

[0020] 2. Raising seedlings: first rinse the melon seeds with clean water to remove the shriveled seeds, then put them into hot water at 55°C, and stir them constantly with a small stick. After 10 minutes, add cold water to keep the water temperature at 25°C and soak for 4-6 hours. After soaking the seeds, wrap the melon seeds with a clean towel or gauze, and place them at 25-30°C to accelerate germination. When more than 60% of the seed buds are exposed, the plugs are used for seedling cultivation.

[0021] 3. Root removal: When the cotyledons of the seedlings are flat and the height of the heart leaves is 0.5cm, the seedlings are lifted out in time, and the cotyledons are used as the benchmark. A bunch of 20-30 seedlings is tied with a rubber band. Cut off, discard the rhizome and the following roots, and soak the wound within 5 minutes. It consist...

Abstract

The invention provides a root cutting culturing method for melon. The method comprises the following steps of culturing melon seedlings in a normal way, lifting the seedlings when seed leaves are spread and when core leaves are 0.5 cm in height, aligning the seedlings based on the seed leaves, taking 20-30 seedlings as one bound; cutting the seedlings at 5 cm position below the seed leaves with a sterilized sharp knife; getting rid of rootstalks and following root parts; dipping the incisions of the seedlings in sterilized root promoting liquid for 10 seconds within 5 minutes; and then standing the seedlings in active carbon powder which is crushed to pass through 180 meshes sieve and heated to 40-50 DEG C for 30-40 minutes, and then permanently planting the seedlings in a seedling container; keeping the daylight temperature of 22-24 DEG C and the night temperature of 18-20 DEG C; applying nitrogenous fertilizer after three days, and transplanting the seedlings in culture field after the seedlings grow three leaves and one core. According to the method provided by the invention, the melon seedlings are converted from an original taproot system to a fibrous root system, so that the root systems of the melon seedlings very flourish; the capability of absorbing rich water and drought resistance of the seedlings are remarkably stronger than the traditional seedlings, acute physiologic withering is hard to occur, thus, the yield can be increased above 15%.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of melon cultivation, and in particular relates to a cultivation method for muskmelon root cutting. Background technique [0002] Melon, also known as sweet melon or muskmelon, is an annual vine plant native to the tropical deserts of Africa, and then introduced to the Middle East, Central Asia, and India via Egypt, and then to my country. Melon is named for its sweet taste. It is also called muskmelon because of its delicate fragrance. The fruit is sweet and rich in sugar, starch, and a small amount of protein, minerals and other vitamins. Because of its unique fragrance and refreshing taste, it has become a favorite snack fruit in summer together with watermelon. In recent years, with the development of facility vegetable production, the cultivation forms of melons have also shown diversification, such as greenhouse and greenhouse cultivation, making the annual supply of melons a reality. [0003] With t...
