A method for improving quality of freshwater fish by using seawater to adjust salinity of a circulation water culture system, comprising the following steps of farming the freshwater fish through the circulation water culture system; and periodically and orderly farming the freshwater fish which are farmed as goods in dispersed ponds in the circulation water culture system having a certain seawater for a segment of time by stages, wherein the certain quantity of seawater is added to the circulation water culture system so as to adjust the salinity of the water in the circulation water culture system. Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following advantages: the method realizes the living purification of the freshwater fish, improves the quality of the fish meat, improves the culture density and farms 50-70 kg of fish in each cubic of water; multiple batches of fish can be farmed, so the economic efficiency is high; and the cost is low, and the method is simple, so the invention can be easily operated.
