The performance testing system comprises an MS clustered system, a set top box simulating device, IPQAM (Internet Protocol Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) equipment and a playing terminal; the set top box simulating device is used for simulating a test case and analyzing relevant performances of the MS clustered system according to time information on signalling interaction between the set top box simulating device and the MS clustered system; and the playing terminal is used for receiving and playing a media stream which is selected and sent by the MS clustered system according to a request of the set top box simulating device, and obtaining performance data of the MS clustered system according to a playing result.
