By forming hybrid services from both wide area components and local area components, hybrid services are able to be regionalized so as to meet the needs of the users in given a locale or region. In one example, a wide area video component may be combined with a local area alternate language to provide an alternate language service to a specified geographic region within the mobile broadcast network. In additional aspects, multiple local area infrastructures can be combined to form a regionalized infrastructure for the purpose of delivering the hybrid service across a designated region.
