Abstract

The invention discloses a message sending method and device, which are used for uniformly sending a CFM (Connectivity Fault Management) message and a MPLS-TPOAM (Multi-Protocol Label Switching-Transport Profile Operation, Administration and Maintenance) message through the same message. The message sending method provided by the invention comprises the following steps: a CFM message assembling module generates and encapsulates the CFM message at a preset period; a CFM message parsing module parses the CFM message encapsulated by the CFM message assembling module, judges whether the CFM message needs to be reassembled according to a multi-protocol label switching-transport profile (MPLS-TP) and determines that the reassembled CFM message needs to detect a channel or a pseudo wire (PW) when MPLS-TP reassembly is needed; when the CFM message needs MPLS-TP reassembling, a message reassembling module encapsulates the CFM message once again; and the message sending module sends the encapsulated CFM message or the MPLS-TPOAM message.
