Abstract

The calcium sulfate whisker modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is prepared from the following raw materials in part by weight: 100 parts of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, 12 to 28 parts of calcium sulfate whisker, 8 to 15 parts of montmorillonite, 5 to 10 parts of polystyrene, 5 to 10 parts of hexadecyl quaternary ammonium salt, 1 to 4 parts of dioctyl phthalate serving as a plasticizer, and 1 to 3 parts of silane coupling agent KH550. The invention also discloses the preparation process for the calcium sulfate whisker modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer.
