Abstract

The invention relates to a washing method for a dishwashing machine comprising a wash container (1) that delimits a washing space, wherein wash liquid that is no longer needed during or after a washing run has been executed is intermediately stored in said container in a storage container (19) that is thermally coupled to the wash container (1), and wherein in a drying step (T) of the washing run the humid air or water vapor located in a washing space of the wash container (1) is condensed at at least one side wall (10, 20) of the wash container (1). According to the invention, the storage container (19) is filled with fresh water before or during the drying step (T) for the purposes of providing a condensation surface.
