Embodiment Construction

[0019] figure 1 is an embodiment of a schematic diagram explaining PCR jitter reduction for transport streams. A transport stream TS (such as an MPEG transport stream) is demodulated without receiving PCR jitter. As shown in the figure, this transport stream TS can be composed of a sequence of symbols S 1 -S n Formed, where n=3 in this example. The symbols S 1 -S n Each symbol Si (1≤i≤3) can be further composed of a sequence of packets P 1i1 -P im Formed, where m=8 in this example. Some of the packets indicated in gray contain PCR embedded as ancillary data. As shown clearly, the code element S 1 -S n The bursts (Burts) in the time interval T ij To represent (1≤j≤7 in this example), it may cause different intervals between the times of PCR values, which is the so-called PCR jitter. time interval T ij If it is larger, the PCR jitter in the transport stream TS is larger.

Abstract

The invention discloses a receiver which receives a transport stream and demodulates the transport stream into a final output stream. The transport stream comprises a plurality of code elements, wherein at least one code element carries at least one program clock reference value; and the final output stream comprises a plurality of demodulated code elements, wherein each demodulated code element comprises a plurality of packets. The receiver comprises a reed-solomon (RS) decoder, an moving picture experts group (MPEG) storage and a descrambler, wherein the RS decoder is used for decoding the transport stream to generate an MPEG packet; the MPEG storage is used for storing the MPEG packet; and the descrambler is used for reading out the MPEG packet from the MPEG storage at a transport rate and descrambling the MPEG packet into one of the packets of the demodulated code elements of the final output stream. The transport rate is reduced for reducing the communication pulses of the packets of the demodulated code elements of the final output stream.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a receiver in a communication system, in particular to a receiver capable of reducing Program Clock Reference (PCR) jitter in a communication system. Background technique [0002] In the field of data communication, one of the highly demanded applications is Full-Motion Video transmission in Video-on-Demand applications. The Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T) standard is a DVB European association standard for broadcast transmission of terrestrial digital television. This system uses OFDM modulation (COFDOM) with Concatenated Channel Coding (COFDOM) to transmit a compressed digital video stream. The source encoding method it adopts is, for example, the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) standard, code-named 2 (commonly referred to as "MPEG-2"), which is an ISO standard issued by ISO / IEC / IEC 13818-1:1996 standard defined. [0003] An MPEG-2 Transport Stream involves the transmission of audiovisual inform...
