Abstract

The invention provides a method for scheduling a group call across a circuit-switched network and a soft-switch network, which comprises the steps of initialization, call initiation and call answer, wherein when a call is initiated, after receiving call initialization information sent by a circuit terminal, a circuit switch sends a virtual call message including a scheduled group number to a scheduling trunk gateway; when the call is answered, the scheduling trunk gateway carries out protocol conversion on an answer message, then sends a call pickup message to the circuit switch; and after receiving the call pickup message, the circuit switch sends the answer message to the circuit terminal which initializes the call, and sets up a communications link between the circuit terminal which initializes the call and a soft-switch scheduling terminal which answers the call. By using the method of the invention, the scheduling of the group call between the circuit-switched network and the soft-switch network on the basis of saved system resources and physical ports can be realized so as to improve the call reliability.
