The production method comprises the following steps: the culture of a seed liquid, the fermentation and the production of the flocculant, and the extraction of the flocculant. By using low-cost starch wastewater as the culture medium to prepare the microbial flocculant, the producing strain effectively uses the wheat starch waste water, saves the carbon source cost in the traditional culture medium, and greatly reduces the production cost of the microbial flocculant.
