The invention relates to a flexible display panel and manufacturing method thereof. The flexible display panel comprises a flexible display module, the flexible display module comprises a flexible substrate, a first circuit layer, a display layer, a second circuit layer and a solidification protective layer; wherein the flexible substrate is provided with a first surface and a second surface, the first circuit layer is arranged on the first surface and is provided with visible area, the display layer is arranged on the first circuit layer and is opposite to the visible area, the second circuit layer is arranged on the display layer, and the solidification protective layer is arranged on the second surface. The manufacturing method of the flexible display panel includes the following steps: a supporting substrate is provided; a flexible display module is formed on the supporting substrate, the flexible display module comprises a flexible substrate, the flexible substrate is arranged on the supporting substrate and is provided with a first surface and a second surface, and the second surface faces the supporting substrate; the supporting substrate is removed; a protective material layer is formed on the second surface, and the protective material layer is colloid; and a solidification protective material layer is formed into a solidification protective layer. The internal circuit of the flexible display panel of the invention is protected by the solidification protective layer.
