Abstract

The invention discloses a method for manually ageing rice seeds, which belongs to the technical field of seed detection. The method comprises the following steps: treating the rice seeds at different temperatures under the condition that the relative humidity is 100 percent to accelerate ageing, and observing the influence of manual ageing on the sprouting rate of the seeds and the growth of seedlings after the treatment. The experiment results show that the optimal manual ageing conditions of the rice seeds comprise that the temperature is 46.5 DEG C and the relative humidity is 100 percent. The sprouting rate of the aged seeds begins to decline, the growth rate and the seedling emergence uniformity are reduced, the abnormal seedlings are increased, and finally the seeds lose the capability of sprouting. The manual ageing method provided by the invention can detect the storage capability and deterioration resistance of the rice seeds in short time. The method is scientific and reliable, is simple to operate, does not need complex equipment, and is convenient for popularization and application.
