Abstract

The invention provides a dynamic multicast configuration method and node equipment. The method comprises: step A, a second node in a multicast network receives dynamic multicast configuration protocol (DMCP) report message sent by a first node; the DMCP report message is a message which carries with change information of enabling state of IGMP Snooping of a first VLAN and is generated and sent when the first node detects that the enabling state of IGMP Snooping of a first virtual local area network of the first node changes; and step B, the second node configures the enabling state of IGMP Snooping of the first VLAN on the second node according to the change information of IGMP Snooping carried by the DMCP report message. According to the invention, automation of multicast configuration can be realized, the workload of configuration can be reduced and fast convergence of multicast flow rate can be guaranteed after a multicast network link or topology changes.
