Embodiment Construction

[0033] Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0034] The carry-on control gate 1 is a gate for detecting confidential documents contained in carry-on. As shown in FIG. 1 , a carry-on control door 1 is installed at the entrance of a confidential area, so as to prevent confidential documents from being taken out of the confidential area illegally or by mistake.

[0035] In the confidential area, confidential matters are stored as documents or electronic information, and the confidential documents are produced by the printer or copier 2 . In this case, the confidential document consists of a so-called security sheet containing a magnetic material exhibiting the large Barkhausen effect. Shred confidential documents with the shredder 3 in the confidential area.

[0036] For example, one can use such as figure 2 The paper shown is intended as a confidential paper.

[0037] The security paper 4 includes m...

Abstract

A baggage management gate including an exciting coil, a detecting coil and signal processing unit. The exciting coil forms an alternating magnetic field in a passage to an area from which manages objects to be carried in or carried out. The detecting coil detects a variation in the alternating magnetic field when magnetization of a magnetic material showing a large Barkhausen effect is reversed in the alternating magnetic field. The signal processing unit determines as to whether the magnetization reversal occurs in the alternating magnetic field due to the large Barkhausen effect or not, based on a signal detected by the detecting coil. The signal processing unit includes amplifier that amplifies the signal detected by the detecting coil with plural different amplification factors and output the amplified signals with each of the plural different amplification factors.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a carry-over control gate that detects a change in a magnetic field due to magnetization reversal of a magnetic material exhibiting the large Barkhausen effect, and controls carry-in restrictions based on the detection result. Or the carry-on that is brought out of the predetermined area passes through. Background technique [0002] For example, there has been proposed a baggage control gate that detects the passage of carry-in or carry-out prohibited baggage using a magnetic material exhibiting the large Barkhausen effect, and issues an alarm. [0003] It is already known that soft magnetic materials such as Fe-Co-based amorphous metal wires are magnetic materials exhibiting the large Barkhausen effect. When an alternating magnetic field stronger than the coercive force is applied to a magnetic material, the magnetization of the magnetic material reverses rapidly, which results in a change in the magnetic field. When...
