Embodiment Construction

[0019] figure 1 A strip of fabric 2 is shown in which weft thread loops 6 are inserted between warp threads 8 from the insertion side 4 . On the side 10 with the opposite insertion side 4, the weft thread loops 6 are knotted to one another by means of loops 12, schematically represented as a thread. The conductive filaments 14 run in a zigzag on the upper layer of the belt fabric 2 and are knotted in any case at turning points 16 by means of the weft loops 6 . The conductive thread 14 is interrupted at point 18 before the application of the transponder chip 20 as an antenna, said chip being connected to both ends of the conductive thread. Such connections may be accomplished by means such as welding, soldering, bonding with conductive adhesives, and crimping.

[0020] Fig. 2 schematically shows a weft-introduction knitting machine 22, which is suitable for manufacturing figure 1 A tape fabric 2 with conductive threads 14 without a transponder chip 20. The warp thread 8 is ...

Abstract

In order to make it possible to weave in a conductive thread, in particular an antenna thread, in a very wide variety of ways in a ribbon needle loom for manufacturing a strip, in particular a label strip, having a shedding apparatus for forming a shed (24) from warp threads (8), a weft insertion needle (26) for inserting weft thread loops, a reed (30) and having a feed apparatus (34) for a thread which has a blade (34) which dips into the shed (24) between warp threads (8) as far as under the insertion path of the weft insertion needle (26), it is proposed that the blade is arranged on a shaft (38) which is oriented transversely with respect to the warp direction. The shaft is connected to a first drive apparatus (40a) for performing a pivoting movement of the shaft. As a result of the pivoting, the blade (34) dips into and out of the shed (24). Furthermore, the shaft is connected to a second drive apparatus (44a) for movement in the axial direction. As a result, the blade (34) can be moved over the width of the strip (2).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a ribbon needle loom according to the preamble of claim 1 for the production of tapes, in particular label tapes, having woven-in conductive threads, in particular antenna threads . Background technique [0002] A weft-introducing belt loom of the type mentioned initially is known from CH490581. In it, the fancy yarn is set by the blade during the weaving of the belt. But how the blade is actuated is not known from this document. There is also no indication from this document that the weft-inserting tape machine is suitable for weaving conductive threads, in particular antenna threads. [0003] WO2005 / 071605 describes a textile material with antenna and RF transponder. The textile material can be produced by weaving techniques. However, the details of the weaving technique are not known from this document. Contents of the invention [0004] The object of the present invention is to obtain a weft-inserting tape loom whic...
