Problems solved by technology

[0003] In the prior art, there are a lot of researches on how to change the endogenous hormone balance of plants through exogenous methods, and there are also many studies on the influence of water stress on plant endogenous hormones, but the research content basically focuses on the effect of water stress on plant growth. In terms of the influence of water stress on root and tuber propagating materials, there have been no related reports.
At present, it is generally believed in the art that water stress will increase the proportion of inhibitory factors in endogenous hormones, and water stress will transform the balance between inhibitory factors / promoting factors into a direction that favors inhibitory factors, resulting in stunted growth and development of plants

Embodiment 1

[0020] 1. Experimental materials and methods

[0021] 1.1 Materials

[0022] Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) is a perennial herb of Compositae. It is native to the warm and humid eastern slope of the Andes in South America. It has branches from Ecuador to northern Argentina. It is a tropical alpine economic crop. Sexually prefers a warm and humid environment, the physiological functions of its roots and tubers are separated, the tubers are used to reproduce offspring, and the tubers are edible parts. Yacon is rich in fructooligosaccharides and more than 20 kinds of amino acids and rich minerals necessary for the human body. It is crispy, sweet and refreshing when eaten directly, and can quench heat and thirst. At present, the relatively certain medicinal functions are mainly used to treat hypoglycemia and hyperlipidemia, cool and anneal, clean up the stomach, and it is a sweet food that diabetics can eat directly. Therefore, people in foreign countries define yacon as a food...

Embodiment 2

[0064] Repeat embodiment 1, have following difference: experimental material is ginger.

[0065] The test results showed that applying water stress to the seed block could significantly improve the emergence uniformity and seedling growth of ginger, which was basically the same as the test results of yacon. There are mainly two differences in the specific experimental treatments as follows.

[0066] 1: The dehydration rate of ginger seed blocks is faster than that of yacon, and the optimal treatment days (storage time of seed blocks) is slightly earlier than that of yacon, and the experimental results are best when the seed blocks lose water naturally for 6 days.

[0067] 2: Due to the different water loss rates of the seed blocks, there are different correspondences between the storage days of the two seed blocks and the water loss rate of the seed blocks, but there is no obvious difference between the best water loss rates of the two.

Embodiment 3

[0069] Repeat embodiment 1, have following difference: experimental material is Chinese yam

[0070] The test results show that water stress on the seed block can significantly improve the uniformity of emergence and seedling growth of yam, which is basically the same as the test results of yacon. There are mainly the following differences in the specific experimental treatments.

[0071] 1: In the specific test treatment, the water loss rate of sweet potato seed block is slower than that of yacon.

[0072] 2: The effect is best when the seed block loses water naturally (storage) for 6 to 12 days, and the optimal treatment days (storage time of the seed block) has a wider range of action.

[0073] 3: The uniformity of emergence of yam is obviously better than that of yacon.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for optimizing the seedling emergence and growth condition at early stage of root tuber and tuber propagating materials. Water stress is carried out to parted seed pieces by using a method of natural dehydrations and then grown according to a conventional method. Ideal technical effect can be achieved if the proportion of moisture loss is controlled within the scope of 14.82 percent to 46.44 percent. The method of the invention solves the bias of the prior art, has dual-directional regulation effect, and is capable of promoting the germination rate of the seed pieces which still do not sprout and have short sprouts without producing much influence on seed pieces which have long sprouts, thereby obviously improving the uniformity and growth condition in later stages of emergent seedlings. The method has simple operation and has the advantages of being simple, economical and practical, and requires no extra economic investment.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of plant cultivation, and in particular relates to a method for optimizing the emergence and early growth of root and tuber propagation materials. Background technique [0002] Root and tuber plants, such as yacon, ginger and yam, have similar physiological and biochemical foundations, and the germination speed of their seedlings is mainly determined by the state of buds on the seed block and the speed of adventitious root formation of the seed block. The longer the buds of the seed block and the faster the adventitious root germination speed, the more conducive the germination of yacon seedlings to the soil. Regarding the regulation of endogenous hormones on dormancy and germination, the current research tends to the hypothesis that the balance of inhibitory factors / promoting factors regulates dormancy, that is, when a certain factor is dominant, the tubers will show the traits controlled by the factor, tha...
