The invention discloses a method for mobile terminal to enter active state from idle state, which is used in system architecture evolution (SAE) systems, including: ensuring entering active state for the mobile terminal which is in idle state, transmitting user context information corresponding to mobile terminal to wireless access network by sending service request to control plane entity of core network by wireless access network and receiving the service request by control plane entity of core network. Meanwhile, the invention discloses a system implementing entering active state from idle state of mobile terminal, including: mobile terminal, wireless access network and control plane entity of core network. The invention eliminates signaling interaction, reduces delay for mobile terminal to enter active state from idle state, improves user's feeling of the service.
