Problems solved by technology

[0003] However, the active compound is often not sufficiently stable in the formulation or can react with other ingredients of the formulation
Furthermore, the dosage of the active compound in the formulation is often not controlled, for example in the case of application of an ointment where the skin comes into contact with the entire concentration of the active compound, even if this is initially undesirable

Embodiment 1

[0168]50 g of glass flakes (ECR glass, particle size grade 10-100 μm, substrate thickness: 870 nm) were added to 300 ml of water and 150 ml of NaOH (0.5M). After stirring for 30 min, 2.9 g of C.I.FD&C Red 6 "Unipure Red LC303" as dye and 2.9 g of Neo Heliopan AP as UV-A filter were added. 10.15g of MgCl 2 ×6H 2 O, 6.05g AlCl 3 ×6H 2 O and 20.95 g of urea were each dissolved in about 100 ml of water and added likewise. The mixture was stirred at reflux for 24h. The suspension is allowed to cool, and the residue is filtered off with suction and washed with water. The residue was dried at 50[deg.] C., giving bright red iridescent particles with additional absorption bands in the UV-A region due to the content of organic UV filters.

Embodiment 2

[0170] With 50g red interference pigment (by about 4wt% SiO 2 , about 1wt% SnO 2 and about 25wt% TiO 2 Coated ECR glass, particle size fraction: 10-100 μm, substrate thickness: 850 nm) was added to 190 ml of water and 310 ml of NaOH (0.5M). After stirring for 30 min, 4 g of rutin sulfate (specific bioflavonoid) were added as active compound. 10.15g of MgCl 2 ×6H 2 O dissolved in about 150ml water, with 9.3g FeCl containing 15wt% Fe 3 The solutions were mixed and added over a period of one hour with stirring. The mixture was then made up to a total volume of 750 ml with water. The mixture was stirred at reflux for 12h. The suspension is allowed to cool, and the residue is filtered off with suction and washed with water until the filtrate which has run off is practically free of active compound. The residue was dried at 60° C. to give a iridescent pigment with a red interference color, which releases the antioxidant effect of rutin sulfate in the formulation at pH<6.

Embodiment 3

[0172] a) 50 g of Timiron(R) Splendid red (multilayer red interference pigment based on mica in the 10-60 μm fraction) were added to 190 ml of water and 310 ml of NaOH (0.5M) and the mixture was stirred for 30 min. 7.34g of CaCl 2 ×2H 2 O and 6.05 g of AlCl 3 ×6H 2 O was dissolved in about 200 ml of water and added with stirring over a period of one hour. The mixture was then made up to a total volume of 750 ml with water. The mixture was stirred at reflux for 12h. The suspension is allowed to cool, and the residue is filtered off with suction and washed with about two liters of water. The residue was first dried at 110°C and subsequently calcined at 300-600°C.

[0173] b) 2.9 g of phenylbenzimidazolium sulfonic acid (Eusolex  232, UV-B filter) dissolved in 500ml of water. Then 0.25 g of the intermediate from step a) were added. The suspension was stirred for 12 hours, and the product was filtered off with suction, washed with water until the UV filter was no longer ...

Abstract

Disclosed are particles containing substrates and an anion-binding layer, containing one or more anion-forming organic active compounds or active compound / colorant mixtures; processes for preparing said particles and to methods of use thereof in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, formulations, paints, coatings, plastics, films, in security printing, in security features in documents or identity papers, for coloring seed, for coloring foods or in medicament coatings and for the preparation of pigment compositions and dry preparations.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to particles comprising a substrate and an anion-binding layer, wherein the anion-binding layer comprises one or more anion-forming organic active compounds. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the preparation of particles and to their use in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, formulations, paints, coatings, plastics, films, in security printing, in security features in documents and identity documents, in Seed coloring, use for food coloring or in the coating of medicaments and for the preparation of pigment compositions and dry formulations. Background technique [0002] Active compounds play an outstanding role in cosmetics and in pharmaceutical products. Examples of cosmetically active compounds are UV filters, inflammation-inhibiting substances, and the like. Typically, the active compound is an organofunctional active compound. These organofunctional active compounds are usually applied or administered in ...
