Abstract

The invention relates to a water meter, comprising a frame (1) with a water inlet (2), a chamber (3), and a water outlet (4), wherein the chamber (3) is mounted with a metering device (5) inside, the side wall of the chamber (3) between the water inlet (2) and the metering device (5) is provided with a blow-off hole (6) communicated with out space, and the chamber (3) is provided with a switch device which can be opened and closed, but seal the blow-off hole (6) all the time. The switch device comprises a check-valve lever (7) and a valve lever base (8) in the chamber with an opening horizontally pointed to the blow-off hole (6). The back of the check-valve lever is axially limited in the valve lever base (8), the front of the check-valve lever (7) is through out the valve lever base (8) to switch the blow-off hole (6), and the back end of the check-valve lever (7) and the inner bottom wall of the valve lever base (8) are supported with a spring (9). When blows off pollution, the blow-off hole is opened by external force, to use the impact of flowing water, to blow off the foreign materials accumulated at lower part in the frame and the filter of the metering device to realize pollution discharge.
