A pencil cap is described, as a lightweight baseball style cap having a crown and a bill and a 2-inch by 4-inch strip of reclosable fastener hook material attached to the side of the crown and a separate 1-inch by 0.75 elastic style reclosable fastener loop material sleeve. The positioning of the reclosable fastener hook material strip is 1.5 inches above the bottom ridgeline and located on either the left or right side of the crown to accommodate left hand or right hand use.
