Embodiment Construction

[0021] Please refer to FIG. 2 , which is a schematic diagram of the first embodiment of the liquid crystal display of the present invention. The liquid crystal display 200 includes a liquid crystal display panel 210 , a scanning driver 220 , a data driver 230 , a driving controller 240 , a light sensor 250 , a light source 260 and a backlight driving circuit 270 . The light sensor 250 is disposed in the liquid crystal display panel 210 . Wherein, the light source 260 may be a light emitting diode or a cold cathode ray tube. The liquid crystal display panel 210 may be a transmissive liquid crystal display panel or a transflective liquid crystal display panel.

[0022] The scan driver 220 provides scan signals to the LCD panel 210 . The data driver 230 provides image signals to the LCD panel 210 . The driving controller 240 controls the scan driver 220 and the data driver 230 to drive the LCD panel 210 to display images. The light sensor 250 can sense external light and gene...

Abstract

The liquid crystal display (LCD) device includes a LCD faceplate, a scan drive, a data drive, a driving controller, a light sensor, a light source, and a backlight drive circuit (BDC). The scan drive provides scan signal to the LCD faceplate. The data drive provides image signal to the LCD faceplate. The driving controller controls the scan drive, and the data drive to drive the LCD faceplate to display image. Sensing external light, the light sensor generates a light-sensing signal. BDC is in use for driving luminescence of the light source to provide light beam for the LCD faceplate. Receiving and recognizing the light-sensing signal, BDC can determine frequency and brightness of external light based on the light-sensing signal. Then, BDC controls luminescence brightness, and luminescence frequency based on frequency and brightness of external light.

Description

【Technical field】 [0001] The invention relates to a liquid crystal display and an automatic adjustment method thereof. 【Background technique】 [0002] At present, liquid crystal displays have gradually replaced traditional cathode ray tube (CathodeRay Tube, CRT) displays, and because liquid crystal displays have the advantages of lightness, thinness, and low power consumption, they are widely used in portable DVDs, visual music players, fields such as mobile phones and notebook computers. [0003] Please refer to FIG. 1 , which is a schematic diagram of a liquid crystal display 100 disclosed in the prior art. The liquid crystal display 100 includes a liquid crystal display panel 110 , a scanning driver 120 , a data driver 130 , a driving controller 140 , a light source 160 and a backlight driving circuit 170 . The backlight driving circuit 170 drives the light source 160 to emit light to provide the required light for the liquid crystal display panel 110 to display. The d...
