[0052] [1.1 Communication system structure]

[0053] FIG. 1 shows the configuration of a communication system according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The communication system 1 mainly includes: a microphone 11, a terminal unit 12, and a telephone 13x installed in the residence X of the employee A; and a telephone 13y, an amplifier 15, and speaker 16. The following description assumes the use of wired connections in all components of the communication system 1 . However, some or all components of the communication system 1 may be connected wirelessly.

[0054] The telephone set 13x in the house X and the telephone set 13y in the company Y have a general-purpose telephone function for voice communication via the public telephone network 14 . The telephone sets 13x and 13y have a voice input section and a voice output section other than a handset as voice input / output means. The voice output section is means for receiving a voice signal from a communicating ...

[0085] The third embodiment is similar in many respects to the first embodiment described above. Only the differences between the third embodiment and the first embodiment are described below. image 3 The structure of the communication system 3 according to the third embodiment is shown. According to the communication system 3, the terminal unit 12 is connected between the microphone 11 in the house X and the telephone 13x. Another communication device 12 is connected between a telephone 13y and a speaker 16 in company Y. In the following description, the terminal unit 12 installed in the house X is represented as a terminal unit 12x. The terminal unit 12 installed in the company Y is represented as a terminal unit 12y.

[0086] The speech processing section 121 of the terminal unit 12x includes a combination of the following series-connected filters and the like:

[0087] (a) Low pass filter 1211 with a cutoff frequency of 400 Hz

[0088] (b) Transposer 1212, used to ge...

[0098] The fourth embodiment is similar in many respects to the first embodiment described above. Only the differences between the fourth and first embodiments are described below. Figure 4 The structure of the communication system 4 according to the fourth embodiment is shown. According to the communication system 4, the sensor 17 is connected to the terminal unit 12 installed in the house X. As shown in FIG. The voice processing section 121 provided for the terminal unit 12 has a switch that allows a voice signal supplied from the microphone 11 to bypass a filter or the like and output to the amplification section 1216 .

[0099] The sensor 17 detects whether an occupant exists in the house X or not. For example, sensor 17 is characterized as follows:

[0100] (a) The sensor has a photodiode, etc., and outputs a signal when a room of house X maintains a light intensity of a specified value or higher;

[0101] (b) The sensor has an electric meter, etc., and outputs a sig...

Abstract

A communication apparatus is disposed at a target place for use in monitoring of sounds. An input section collects various sounds generated at the target place. The collected sounds contain a first type of sound information which should be monitored and a second type of sound information which should not be monitored. The input section converts the collected sounds into a signal capable of conveying the sound information. A signal processing section processes the signal for creating ambiguous sound information by masking, trimming or modifying the second type of the sound information. A transmission section transmits the processed signal to a remote place, where the sounds are reproduced from the transmitted signal and the first type of the sound information is monitored, while the second type of the sound information is not monitored, since the second type of the sound information is altered to the ambiguous sound information.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a communication device and a program for listening to sound information of a target location and transmitting the sound information to a remote location. Background technique [0002] At home, we go about our daily lives by feeling the presence of other family members in the same room or in nearby rooms. Meanwhile, in corporate offices, we do our daily work while feeling the presence of staff members in the same room or nearby rooms. Whether or not we are aware of the signs of the presence of other members, such signs play an important role in everyday life. For example, in a company office, a superior can know how busy his subordinates are currently based on the activity signs of subordinates working in nearby rooms. For example, family members who live with an older person can tell if the older person is healthy based on signs in the next room. [0003] In recent years, with the advancement and development of communication...
