The method comprises the steps that an application development terminal implants a preset updating module into an application, updates configuration of the preset updating module, establishes a cross-platform application layer and a JavaScript bridging layer, generates a resource packet according to the cross-platform application layer, and uploads the resource packet to a preset server; the preset server generates a push resource packet according to the resource packet, sends the push resource packet to the publishing environment, and defines the push resource packet as the latest resource packet in the publishing environment; the mobile terminal sends a resource packet calling request to a preset server according to the preset updating module subjected to configuration updating; the preset server feeds back a push resource packet to the mobile terminal according to the resource packet calling request; and the mobile terminal updates the application according to the pushed resource packet. The method has the advantages that the application compatibility is high, the sending time of application updating pushing is stable, and application updating is not limited by a network.
