The invention discloses an environment-friendly quartz sand purification process which comprises the following steps of: stirring and mixing quartz sand minerals and a strong alkali solution for reaction, filtering to obtain filter residues and filtrate I, leaching the filter residues with water until the pH value is 7-8 to obtain finished quartz sand and leaching water I, screening out the quartz sand with the size fraction of less than 0.074 mm in the finished quartz sand, carrying out flotation treatment, mixing the filtrate I with the leaching water I, adding strong acid till the pH value is smaller than 1, adding alkali liquor into the mixed liquor in batches for precipitation and separation to obtain a recovery product, and heating and evaporating residual liquor to obtain crystals, the yield of quartz sand with the size fraction smaller than 0.074 mm in quartz sand minerals being 10% or below. By utilizing the characteristic that the strong alkali solution is not volatile, the process has no influence on the human body and the environment during industrial application.
