According to the detection method and the device provided by the embodiment, the workpiece forming process is detected in real time by applying multiple pieces of non-contact detection equipment, the spatial position relationship corresponding to the detection data is calibrated, so that the detection data can be spliced to the same coordinate system to form complete workpiece contour data, high-precision on-machine contour detection in the workpiece forming process is achieved, defects in the workpiece forming process can be found in time, the production cost is reduced, and the workpiece quality is improved.
