Abstract

The present invention relates to a pump assembly for use in a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system of a compression ignition internal combustion engine. The pump assembly comprises a housing (1), a pump (19) located within the housing (1) and for pressurising urea to be delivered by the dosing system, a filter (20) located within the housing (1) and for filtering urea to be drawn by the pump (19) prior to pressurisation, and a heating system including a rigid cover (24) for both the pump (19) and the filter (20). The rigid cover (24) is provided with an integrated fixing means to enable the attachment of the rigid cover (24) to the housing (1).
