Abstract

The invention provides a molecular marker ATXN7L3 related to liver cancer occurrence and development, and a liver cancer diagnosis product and means, and an expression level of the molecular marker is detected to judge whethera patient has risk of being affected with the liver cancer or not. In addition, the invention provides a medicine composition or method for treating the liver cancer, and the molecular marker is specifically up-regulated to treat the liver cancer. An experiment indicates that expression of the ATXN7L3 is compared in the cancer tissue and the para-carcinoma tissue of the HCC of a HCC clinical patient so as to discover that the ATXN7L3 is obviously under low expression in the HCC tissues of the cancer tissue. In addition, the expression of the ATXN7L3 is in positive correlation with the differentiation degree of the HCC tissue, i.e., an expression amount of the ATXN7L3 in the HCC tissue with the high differentiation degree is high. In addition, the expression of the ATXN7L3 shows negative correlation with the prognosis of the patient, i.e., the patient with ATXN7L3 low expression has a low general survival rate and short lifetime.
