Abstract
The invention provides application of myosin 1b as a target for atherosclerosis diagnosis and treatment. Whether a subject suffers from atherosclerosis or not is judged by detecting the expression level of the myosin 1b in blood of the subject, and if a mRNA expression level of the myosin 1b in a blood sample is up-regulated (highly expressed), the owner of the blood sample is an atherosclerotic patient. Detection results are accurate and reliable, and the application value of clinical diagnosis is achieved; besides, atherosclerotic plaque can be reduced by targeting a myosin 1b gene or protein, a foundation is laid for developing novel drugs for treating the atherosclerotic based on the target, and potential application value is achieved.
Description
technical field [0001] The present application relates to the field of biomedicine, in particular to a biomarker and therapeutic target of atherosclerosis. [0002] technical background [0003] Atherosclerosis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease that seriously endangers human health. It is characterized by plaques composed of fat, cholesterol, calcium and fibrin in blood vessels. When plaque builds up, narrowing the passages within arteries, plaque may partially or completely block blood flow through large or medium-sized arteries in the heart, brain, pelvis, legs, arms, or kidneys, leading to a variety of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases Such as coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, stroke, carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease and chronic kidney disease, etc., the diagnosis of atherosclerosis and the development and research of drug targets have become a hot spot in the cardiovascular field. [0004] With the rapid increase of the global aging...
