Abstract

The invention discloses a power transmission line double-end fault positioning method and system based on golden section search. The method comprises the steps of collecting the positive sequence voltage and positive sequence current at a double-end bus of a line at a fault moment when a short-circuit fault happens to a power transmission line, and listing a voltage calculation equation along theline by combining with a line impedance admittance parameter; selecting two test points on the line with the short circuit fault according to the golden section proportion; and respectively comparingthe double-end reckoning voltages of the two test points according to the voltage calculation equation along the line so as to judge a fault interval. The method is based on the voltage distribution characteristics along the line of the lumped parameter model, and the fault point is the minimum value point of the positive sequence voltage distribution curve, so that the search algorithm can be used for infinite approximation until the positioning precision requirement is met. The calculation pressure can be reduced, and meanwhile, the iteration speed is higher. The fault positioning calculation efficiency and reliability are effectively improved.
