The method of igniting and supporting combustion ofresidual oil comprises following steps that S1, residual oil is stored in a preheating device, and the preheating device preheats the residual oil; S2, the preheated residual oil is conveyed into a residual oil atomization device by a residual oil conveying pump, and the residual oil atomization device is positioned in a high-temperature mixing ignition chamber; S3, an air blower and the residualoil atomization device are matched to atomize the residual oil, and the atomized residual oil is sprayed into the high-temperature mixing ignition chamber and a combustion chamber; S4, ignition devices in the high-temperature mixing ignition chamber and Brown gas ignition nozzles work cooperatively to ignite the atomized residual oil; and S5, the ignition devices arranged inside the combustion chamber and the Brown gas ignition nozzles are used for supporting combustion of the atomized residual oil which is not sufficiently combusted.
