The water tank experiment device for simulating the paroxysmalflood deposition process comprises a deposition area mechanism, a control area mechanism and a data collection area mechanism, the deposition area mechanism comprises a water tank box, a water seepageand drainage system, a lighting system, a shooting system and a scanning system, the water tank box is provided with a transparent glass plate, a gridding plastic water seepage plate is installed atthe bottom of the water tank box and can be filled with chippings with different particle sizes, and meshes are formed in the four faces of each grid; a flood fluid inlet is formed in one corner of the water tank, the flood fluid inlet is connected with the tail end of a conveying channel of the control area mechanism, movable stainless steel side plates are installed on the two wings of the floodfluid inlet corner in the water tank, and the automatic gradient adjusting device adjusts the gradient of the water tank through a gradient adjusting supporting plate.
