The whitening composition is prepared from the following effective components in parts by weight: 5-20 parts of a hydrolyzed bird's nest extract; 1 to 15 parts of a radix gentianae extract; 1 to 15 parts of whey protein; 1-20 parts of amino acid; 0.1 to 1 part of vitamin; 1-10 parts of a humectant; and 5-20 parts ofa thickening agent; the preparation method comprises the following steps: a mixing step: mixing the effective components, and then adding distilled water to obtain mixed slurry; a drying step: dryingand sterilizing, namely freeze-drying the mixed slurry, and sterilizing with ozone to obtain a whitening composition.
