Embodiment Construction
[0047] The devices, systems, and methods disclosed herein are used to ablate tissue using multiple waveform energy delivery that may include high amplitude short pulse duration biphasic charge-neutral pulses with high amplitude pulses between or in combination with high amplitude pulses. A combination or sequence of a series of lower amplitude non-charge neutral pulses delivered by amplitude pulses. These lower amplitude pulses may be monophasic or biphasic with a DC offset such that they impose a current flow through the affected tissue. In any event, the pulses should be very short, with a pulse duration of less than 50 microseconds and preferably less than about 20 microseconds to avoid inducing arrhythmias. In such tissues, this DC energy between the anode and cathode will produce a change in acid-base balance and reactive oxygen species on the anode will enhance and increase targeted cell death. Such a system would include charge monitoring from the generator for determi...
