Abstract

The invention discloses a photocatalytic degradation agent for roxarsone pollution of a water body. The photocatalytic degradation agent is composed of sulfite and hematite. The invention further discloses a photocatalytic degradation method for the roxarsone pollution of the water body. The photocatalytic degradation method comprises the following steps: adding the degradation agent into a waterbody polluted by roxarsone and then adjusting the pH (Potential of Hydrogen) of the water body to be 4 to 8; and finally, introducing fresh air into the water body and carrying out illumination treatment. The photocatalytic degradation agent disclosed by the invention has the advantages of high degradation efficiency, short time, capability of utilizing sunlight, capability of repeatedly utilizinga hematite material for a plurality of times and the like; and the method has the advantages of simplicity in operation, wide material source, low cost, no generation of toxic and harmful byproductsand environment friendliness, and has a wide prospect in application of treating organic polluted wastewater containing the roxarsone.
