Abstract

The invention provides a connector that couples a first electronic device and a second electronic device with a power supply such that the power supply supplies current to the first electronic deviceand the second electronic device. The connector comprises a first connector component for coupling the first electronic device, a power supply connector component for coupling a power supply, power lines for coupling the second electronic device and the first connector component to the power supply connector component, a data line, a power supply state detection circuit which is coupled to the power supply connector component and is set to detect whether the power supply connector component is coupled to the power supply, and a message transmission line, wherein one end of the data line is coupled to the second electronic device, the other end of the data line is coupled to the first electronic device, one end of the message transmission line is coupled to the power supply state detectioncircuit, the other end of the message transmission line is coupled to the second electronic device, and the power supply state detection circuit is set to send a power supply connection message to thesecond electronic device via the message transmission line when a condition that the power supply connector component is coupled to the power supply is detected.
