The method comprises the following steps: detecting specific sub-waveforms in a single half-wave in a half-wave waveform by periodically collecting voltage acquisition signals; obtaining the compensation delay of a specific sub-waveforms; and judging the zero-crossing point of the alternating voltage signal according to the specific sub-waveforms and the compensation delay. According to the invention, the zero-crossing detection circuit is not specially designed, thealternating voltage detection circuit is directly utilized, and the alternating voltage zero-crossing detection is carried out by combining a software algorithm, so that the cost can be reduced, and the zero-crossing point can be accurately judged, for example, the alternating voltage zero-crossing detection method can be applied to a cooking appliance.
