The method comprises the following stepsof receiving a first BFD message sent by second network equipment, and determining the receiving time interval of the first BFD message and the second BFD message according to the receiving time of asecond BFD message and the receiving time of the first BFD message which are received last time; if the receiving time interval is greater than a preset time interval threshold, deleting a first message header packaged by the second network equipment in the first BFD message; determining whether the destination Internet protocol IP address of the first BFD message is the same with a local IP address; and if the destination IP address is the same with the local IP address, outputting state monitoring information, wherein the state monitoring information includes the current message header of the first BFD message, and the current message header is the message header without the first message header.
