Problems solved by technology

The fixed-frequency amplifier circuit increases the receiving distance of the infrared module, but it also leads to the deterioration of the directional performance of infrared communication: for example, at a short distance, due to the scattering of light by the environment, even if the transmitter is facing away from the TSOP1836 receiver, the TSOP1836 can still receive to remote signal
[0007] To sum up, due to the lack of low-cost directional communication and ranging technology within a range of more than ten meters indoors and outdoors

Abstract

The invention provides a direction and a distance measuring method based on an infrared signal, and a system. According to the method and the system, uniformly distributed infrared receiving tubes arearranged on an infrared receiving module. The infrared signal of an infrared transmitting module is received through the uniformly distributed infrared receiving tubes. A position relation between the infrared receiving module and the infrared transmitting module is determined according to the received infrared signal. Furthermore infrared transmitting tube driving current which corresponds withthe infrared signal is gradually reduced for acquiring critical strength of the infrared signal to the receiving module. Therefore, according to the method, in high-precision quick direction measuring, the distance between the infrared transmitting module and the infrared receiving module can be synchronously calculated according to the infrared transmitting tube driving current which correspondswith the infrared signal, thereby realizing quick direction and distance measurement. According to the method and the system, through matching between a hardware circuit and a control unit, a precision requirement to an infrared device can be reduced, and furthermore hardware cost is reduced.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to sensor technology, in particular to a method and system for measuring direction and distance. Background technique [0002] Direction finding and ranging in indoor environments usually rely on lidar. Traditional lidar can achieve 360° omnidirectional scanning, but its price is high; compared with traditional lidar, solid-state lidar is much cheaper, but it cannot achieve 360° rotation and can only detect the front. The performance of lidar is poor in extreme climates, and the visible light beams it emits and returns will also bring a certain sense of obstruction to people's vision. [0003] Based on satellite and GPS positioning technology, it has a good effect on outdoor positioning and outdoor ranging, but it cannot find direction. Due to the limitations of signal transmission conditions, satellite or GPS signal interference and attenuation are strong in indoor environments, so they cannot be directly used for indoor distan...
